Genetically modified foods have been available long enough now that a true, unbiased reporting of their effects on both the environment and health is now available. And it isn’t looking good. Farmers all over the world are failing miserably with the “improved” GM versions of everything from cotton, rice, corn, alfalfa, etc. People and animals are dying from exposure to the crops in the fields and farmers in India are committing suicide at unbelievable rates due to failed crops and an inability to live off the land that they have maintained for generations with non-GMO foods.
Any excuse a company gives for not labeling GM foods is just that, an excuse. I won’t get into the reasons why GM foods are pushed so heavily, and it’s not just the money, but pressure needs to be put on American companies and our elected officials. We need GM labels, and we need them NOW! –Dennis
